Abdollahian raps US military presence in Syria
An adviser to Iran’s parliament speaker decried the presence of the US military forces in Syria without the consent of the Damascus government, saying Washington is pursuing its vicious objectives in the guise of supporting Syrian Kurds.
According to Tasnim News Agency, in a meeting with Palestine’s ambassador to Tehran on Thursday, senior adviser to the Parliament Speaker for international affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian warned against the establishment of US military bases inside Syria.
Washington is pursuing its own and Israel’s rogue plots under the pretext of backing the Kurdish forces in Syria, he added.
Amir Abdollahian also denounced the US president’s move to recognize the city of al-Quds as the capital of the illegal Zionist entity, saying the holy city will remain an indispensable and eternal part of Palestine.
For his part, the Palestinian envoy slammed Donald Trump as a puppet of the Zionist regime, calling for stronger unity in the Muslim world.
