American women turned out in New York to stop the nomination at the Supreme Court of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, the appointed nominee of Donald Trump for the position left vacant by Judge Anthony Kennedy who retired on July 31.

Brett Michael Kavanaugh is a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. He previously was White House Staff Secretary during the presidency of George W. Bush.

Senate Democrats are gearing up to press Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on his decades-long relationship with former Judge Alex Kozinski, who was forced into retirement last year by a mounting sexual harassment scandal.
