Message of the Islamic Revolution for contemporary man
Today on the 9th day of the Ten-Day Dawn celebrations marking the 39th anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, we present you a special feature titled "Message of the Islamic Revolution for contemporary man."
As Islamic Iran starts its 40th year, the Islamic Revolution continues to profoundly influence developments and thoughts of the present generation throughout the region and beyond all over the world in various spheres. The message that the Sage of the Age, Imam Khomeini (God bless him) gave to the world in 1979 remains remarkably fresh today. The Revolution that changed world equations in the bipolar world of western capitalism and eastern communism with its emphasis on “Neither East nor West, Islam is the Best”, presented to the world the dynamism of Islamic teachings that covers all aspects of life, including political, administrative, social, economic, industrial, cultural, commercial, defence, scientific, technological, academic, humanitarian, sports, recreational, religious and spiritual.
These teachings are as fresh for the contemporary man as they were four decades ago. The Islamic Revolution, whose message is based Divine message of the holy Qur’an and the teachings of the Last and Greatest Messenger, and his Infallible Ahl al-Bayt, has completely transformed thoughts with its practical emphasis on such transcendental events in the history of mankind, as Be’sat or the formal declaration of the universal mission of Prophet Mohammad (blessings of God upon him and his progeny); Ghadir or the day of Perfection of Faith with the Prophet’s proclamation on divine commandment of Imam Ali (AS) as vicegerent; and Ashura of the most heartrending-ever epic that gave new life to humanitarian values with the martyrdom of Imam Husain (AS) and his select groups of kinsmen and companions.
Liberal, socialist, and secular thoughts have no attraction of their own. These are actually based on propaganda to deceive some people with the seemingly attractive slogans of liberty, freedom, equality and democracy, but in practice these are nothing but tools to exploit the masses and worsen the fate of humanity.
Mankind was looking for a solution to get rid of Marxism and Capitalism, and it was left to Imam Khomeini, as a leading jurisprudent of the age, and among the most dynamic in the history of civilization to present to the world, the practical model of Islamic teachings in order to rejuvenate thoughts, ideas, and the way of life that is free from the shackles of exploitation. The Islamic Revolution and its message is one of social justice, modernity, political prudence, and administrative acumen to resolve the problems of society.
The Islamic Revolution restored spiritual values and revived religious culture, thereby giving identity to the nation. This revolution is based on faith in the One and Only God and His sovereignty over the universe, as well as the need for mankind, the best of creation, to submit to none but the Almighty Creator. It negated despotism and foreign hegemony. It stood against oppression and assisted the oppressed. It inspired Iranians and other peoples to new heights, fulfilling in them the indomitable spirit of resistance against the big powers and their bid to control world nations.
Thus, the Islamic Revolution opposed the illegal Zionist entity and exposed its crimes against humanity, by firmly supporting the oppressed Palestinian people. It stressed Islamic Unity and cooperation with emphasis on good neighbourly relations. It called for revival of human dignity, wisdom and expediency. It insisted on dialogue to remove misunderstandings. It firmly rejected violence and led the campaign against terrorism, including the cannibalistic Takfiris, whom the US, the Zionist entity and reactionary Arab regimes had created to terrorize people by indulging in the most macabre massacres.
The Islamic Revolution opened up the thoughts of conscientious non-Muslims and showed to them the dynamics of spirituality and religion.
Frenchwoman Mary Fallot, says regarding her adoption of Islam: "It seems to me that Islam is the message of love, patience and peace, this is the message which has attracted the attention of more and more Europeans. I was looking for a framework because human beings need practical laws, which are absent in Christianity. In my opinion, Islam is simple and precise and has a clear face."
Lisa Lathe, an orientalist at the University of Vienna who has embraced the truth of Islam, describes Islam as an important factor in attracting people. She says: "Because of the emphasis on social justice in Islam, we see an increase in followers of Islam throughout the world.”
Maria Jean Bhaskaran from New Zealand, on her adoption of Islam says: “because of the negative propagandas against Islam and Muslims, I became curious to study about Shi’a Muslims, and found out that the West was indulging in lies. Islam, and the schools of the Prophet’s Ahl al-Bayt, as the Shi’a Muslim are known, presents the most dynamic concepts of fraternity, friendship, peaceful life, love and affection among humans and considers all human beings the creatures of the One and Only God. This is what every human wants and so I turned to Islam. "
These facts means the propaganda of the US, the Zionists, and other enemies of the Islamic Revolution, has come to naught, since Iran and its leadership have definitely aroused the thoughts and actions of the modern man and the present generations.
