Leader gives tidings of congregational prayers in liberated Qods
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says Syria is on the frontline of the fight against the enemies of Islam.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who on Thursday March 1 granted audience to a Syrian religious delegation led by Syria’s Minister of Awqaf [religious endowments), Mohammad Abdus-Sattar as-Sayyad gave tidings to the revered Sunni Muslim guest of leading the congregational prayers in the holy city of Qods in the near future. Here is the details of the Leader’s remarks.
Ayatollah Khamenei started his speech by glorifying God Almighty and sending blessings upon the Prophet of Islam, his Infallible Ahl al-Bayt and the righteous amongst his companions. He then greeted the Syrian delegation and thanking its leader, the Minister of Awqaf, for his eloquent statements, said:
“We stand beside Syria. Today, Syria stands in the frontlines. It is our responsibility to support Syria's steadfastness. Mr. Bashar al-Assad – the honorable President of Syria – has appeared as a warrior and great resister. He did not let doubts engulf him and he stood firm. This is very important for a nation. The Muslim states which live in disgrace are not disgraced nations, rather it is their leaders who are disgraced. If a nation has leaders who have a feeling of dignity about Islam and about their identity, that nation will become dear and the enemy will not be able to do a damn thing against such a nation.
“We (the Islamic Republic of Iran) have entered into the 40th year of the Revolution. Since the first day, superpowers joined hands and acted against us. The US, the Soviet Union, NATO, Arab and regional reactionaries all joined hands, but we were not ruined and we achieved growth. What does this mean? The first meaning of this statement is that what great powers want is not necessarily possible. All of them decided that we should be ruined, but we were not ruined. So, it is evident that it is not the case that what the US, Europe and atomic powers in the world want will certainly happen. Well, understanding this truth gives hope and power to nations. Therefore, if we, you and the other elements of the Resistance in the region act in a decisive manner, the enemy will not be able to do a damn thing. This is one issue.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said: “Another issue is that Islam has promised us that victory belongs to the believers who strive in the way of God. If faith does not exist, victory will not be achieved completely. If faith exists without jihad and endeavor, there will not be any result. It is our responsibility to support and defend Islam and the Islamic movement.
“One of the requirements for this is that we should put aside these denominational and tribal differences. Well, if we put aside these differences, there are some people who are opposed to this and who do not want to let this happen. They provoke some of us and some of our brothers and as a result, they are forced to speak, act and work against the movement of unity. If those who play this role are not affiliated with global and arrogant policies and if their activities do not stem from these policies, they should be ignored. We should not pay attention to these individuals. However, if like the Saudis and some others, this effort to create discord stems from arrogant policies, they should be confronted in a firm manner.
“We do not believe in the kind of Sh’ia which are supported by London. We do not consider those Sunnis who are supported by the US and Israel as Muslims. We do not consider them Muslims in any way. Islam is that which is opposed to unbelief, to oppression and to arrogance. These are our common points. Our common points are monotheism, the holy Ka’ba and the dynamic personality of Prophet Mohammad (blessings of God upon him and his progeny). Our common points are our devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt, and there are many other common points. All our obligations are among the common points.
“If I recite qonout during daily prayers but you do not do so, this is not something that creates discord. The essence of the issue is that we should believe in towhid or the indivisible monotheism of God Almighty, in the universal mission of the Prophet of Islam, in Divine Assistance and in the Judgment Day.”
Ayatollah Khamenei said: “I hope that you and we will see the day when you are leading public prayers in holy Qods, God willing. We believe that that day will come. It is possible that this humble person and people like us will not be living on that day, but it will come eventually and it will not come late.
“A few years ago, the Zionist entity said it will do such and such a thing against Iran in 25 years. I said that you will not see 25 years from now, so you will not be able to do that! By Allah's favor, that day will come.
Commenting on the Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s speech, Iran’s English language daily, Kayhan International carried a Viewpoint written by columnist S. Nawabzadeh, who referring to the tidings given to the Syrian Minister of Awqaf of his leading the public prayers in holy Qods, said:
“This above prophetic phrase expressed by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in his meeting with a delegation of Sunni Muslim ulema from Syria headed by Minister of Religious Endowments (Awqaf), Mohammad Abdul-Sattar as-Sayyed, is making headlines throughout the world.
“Whatever Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says, it happens sooner or later, as was the case with the prophecies of the Father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), who foretold the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the downfall of Saddam, and the imminent collapse of the US.
The paper said: “His latest statement doesn’t mean the Syrian cleric will make a courtesy visit to Occupied Palestine, and as a ‘goodwill gesture’ will be allowed by the usurpers of the Islamic city of Bayt al-Moqaddas to lead the congregational prayer at al-Aqsa Mosque in the shadows of a US embassy illegally situated on trespassed land.
“No, this clear and unambiguous sentence means the Syrian religious leader will enter liberated Palestine to lead the congregational prayer at Islam’s former qibla with huge throngs of Muslims from all over the world in attendance, and is part of the tidings already given by Ayatollah Khamenei on the fast approaching doom of the illegal Zionist entity.
Kayhan International wrote: “Yes, with the Takfiri terrorists decisively defeated and their creators – the Saudis, the Zionists and the Americans – in total confusion, the hour is at hand.
“No matter what political intrigues the US and its comrades-in-crimes resort to, or the self-defeatist military measures they might take, Israel will not survive for long.
“This is clear from the words spoken on Thursday by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to the Syrian religious delegation, saying: "A few years ago, the Zionist entity was saying it will do such and such a thing to Iran in the next 25 years, and I said at the time that you will not [survive long enough to] sense the next 25 years.”
The daily said: “Here, it should be clarified that Ayatollah Khamenei wasn’t saying the Zionist entity had still a quarter of century left to prolong its precarious existence on the map of West Asia. He said "25 years” in the context of Israel’s idiotic threats of seriously undermining the Islamic Republic of Iran in the next 25 years.
“In other words, 25 more years is a pretty long time for the Zionist entity to survive, which means Israel will be no more in the region long before that figure.”
According to kayhan International: “Those in doubt, should see the energized situation of Syria, the frontline state in the struggle against Zionism, which, thanks to the timely help from brotherly Iran and the popular forces of the region, as well as assistance rendered by Russia on request, has soundly crushed the joint plot of Global Arrogance and reactionary Arabs against the legal government of President Bashar al-Assad.
“No wonder, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution commended President Assad, saying: "Syria is on the frontline; therefore, supporting Syria’s resistance is our duty. Indeed, Assad presents the figure of a great warrior and stood tall and strong and this is very important for a nation.”
Kayhan International said: “If there is any common sense left in the US and the capitals of Western Europe, they will endorse Ayatollah Khamenei’s logical suggestion for a referendum under UN auspices, involving Muslims, Christians, and the original Jewish minority for a single state and single form of government for all Palestine, stretching from the Mediterranean Sea to the River Jordan and the Sinai to the borders of Lebanon.
“Of course, a safe passage will be provided for all those Jews that have illegally settled in Palestine since World War, 1 to go back to their countries of origin, similar to what happened in 1187 when the Crusader occupiers were allowed to return to Europe after the end of the 88-year illegal existence of the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem, at the hands of a united Muslim army of Kurds, Turks, Arabs and Iranians.
“One last point; any idea of Armageddon will be suicidal for the Zionists and their backers, in view of the fact that the liberation of Qods has been promised in Islamic texts, on which the predictions of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution are based.
“As a reminder to the conspirators who failed miserably in Syria and Iraq, Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out in his meeting with the Syrian delegation: "The Islamic Revolution in Iran turned 40 under circumstances where all of the first-rate world powers such as the US, the Soviet Union, NATO, and regional reactionaries became united to destroy the Islamic Republic; however, this Revolution survived and grew.”
