Welcome to another interesting weekly episode of Land of Light in which we attempt to shed light on the transcendental personality of the Mercy unto the whole creation, Prophet Mohammad (Blessings of God upon him and his progeny).

As a reminder, last week, we shed light on events leading to the epic combat of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (AS) with Marhab the Jewish warlord during the historic Battle of Khaybar, after the Prophet had entrusted command of the army to his brave cousin following several days of retreat by the neo Muslim forces from the gates of the impregnable Qamou fort, over 150 km north of Medina, as the Muslims, on divine commandment, continued the campaign to nullify the treacherous plots of the Israelites who had breached their treaties with the Prophet of Peace, and in alliance with pagan Arabs had built up a vast force to take Medina by surprise. We had also said how the Prophet had cured his cousin of eyesore after beckoning him with the famous phrase “Nad-e Aliyyan Mazhar al-Aja’eb”, which means “Call Ali the Manifestation of Wonders”, following his statement the night before to his stupefied companions that “Tomorrow I will give the banner of Islam to the valiant attacker who never retreats; who loves God and the Prophet and in turn is loved by God and the Prophet.”

Now listen to the rest of the account that occurred in the month of Rajab 7 AH, after nearly a month into the campaign that pushed the Jews on the defensive and led to the capture of several fortresses by the Muslims, except two forts, especially Qamous which was guarded by Marhab the veritable giant.
