Welcome to our weekly episode Land of Light, in which we attempt to bring into proper limelight, the important milestones in the life of the Almighty’s Last and Greatest Messenger, Prophet Mohammad (Blessings of God upon him and his progeny).

Last week we related to you the epic combat of the Commander of the Faithful, the Prophet’s cousin, son-in-law and divinely-designated vicegerent, Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (AS), with the Israelite warlord Marhab that resulted in the conquest of the seemingly impregnable fortress of Qamous. As the person who loves God and the Prophet, and who in turn is endeared by God and the Prophet, Imam Ali (AS), who was not present because of sore eyes, was called to the campaign by the Prophet with that immortal phrase “Nad-e Aliyan Mazhar al-Aja’ib”, which means “Beckon Ali the Manifestation of Wonders”. His miraculous feat of strength saw the tearing of the massive door of the fortress from its hinges, thereby ensuring complete victory in the campaign of Khaibar and shattering the plot of the Jews to storm Medina by surprise in alliance with pagan Arabs, after their breaching of their peace pacts with the Messenger of Mercy. Stay with us to listen to some important event in its aftermath.
