Let's know Islam (200)
Today, we discuss the developments that take place on earth on the Day of Resurrection.
As it was said, based on ayahs of Holy Quran, the end of this world will be coupled with a string of major incidents and developments. On the verge of Day of Resurrection; the sun, the moon, and the stars darken and this world falls apart.
In the previous weeks, we referred to the developments that occur in the sky, the sun, the moon, and the stars on the brink of Day of Resurrection. Meanwhile, undoubtedly, one of the developments which transpire on the Day of Resurrection is the major changes that occur on Planet Earth.
One of the major divine blessings, is earth's calm in its swift movement.
The 15th ayah of Surat al-Mulk in Holy Quran notes: "It is He who made the earth tractable for you; so walk on its flanks and eat of His provision, and towards Him is the resurrection."
Earth's crust is not hard to an extent that would be uninhabitable, and is not soft to an extent that it would not be calm. In fact, it is completely tractable for man's life. For instance, if the surface of the earth was mainly covered with very soft sand or swamps, mankind would sink in it, and if it was made of sharp-edged and hard stones, walking over them would be difficult. Also, the distance between earth and the sun is not that small which would result in all creatures burning due to scorching heat, and is not that long, which would freeze all creatures on earth. Earth's gravity is not that intense which would fracture human bones, and is not that mild which would result in man suspending in space. In short, earth is tractable for mankind, in every aspect.
Mankind comfortably lives on earth, remains active throughout the mountains, plains, and seas, is engaged in agricultural activities, animal husbandry, and production of industrial items; constructs small and large buildings, and utilizes earth's sources and reserves. However, this very planet won't be calm on the Day of Resurrection. Earth shakes on the Day of Resurrection.
The 21st ayah of Surat Al-Fajr in Holy Quran notes: "No indeed! When the earth is levelled to a plain…"
This ayah refers to earthquakes and shocking developments at the end of the world and beginning of the Day of Resurrection.
The 1st to 4th ayahs of Surat al-Zalzalah in Holy Quran note: "When the earth is rocked with a terrible quake and the earth discharges her burdens, and man says, 'What is the matter with her?' On that day she will relate her chronicles."
These ayahs reveal some of the frightening developments that transpire at the end of the world and on the brink of Day of Resurrection.
According to ayahs of Holy Quran, Earth reveals all of the good deeds and misdeeds which have taken place, and is one of the most important witnesses of human deeds on the Day of Resurrection.
On the Day of Judgement, earth cracks and humans leave soil, heading toward the divine court.
The 47th ayah of Surat al-Kahf, in Holy Quran partly describes developments on the brink of Day of Resurrection, noting: "The day We shall set the mountains moving and you will see the earth in full view…"
Mountains scatter on the brink of Day of Resurrection. Prior to discussing the state of mountains on the brink of Day of Judgement, let's point out the view of Holy Quran about mountains.
The 10th ayah of Surat Luqman in Holy Quran notes: "…and He cast firm mountains in the earth lest it should shake with you, and He has scattered in it every kind of animal."
There are other ayahs of Holy Quran that maintain similar contents about mountains. These ayahs point out the impact of mountains on earth's calm. Mountains play a crucial role in the solidity of earth's crust. Mountains prevent earth from shaking.
However, on the verge of Day of Resurrection, the same mountains scatter.
The 105th to 107th ayahs of Surat Ta Ha in Holy Quran note: "They question you concerning the mountains. Say, 'My Lord will scatter them like dust.' Then He will leave it a level plain. You will not see any crookedness or unevenness in it."
A number of ayahs of Holy Quran state that mountains are scattered on the brink of Day of Resurrection.
The 10th ayah of Surat al-Mursalat in Holy Quran notes: "and when the mountains are scattered like dust."
A number of ayahs of Holy Quran also refer to the movement of mountains on the Day of Resurrection.
The 3rd ayah of Surat al-Takwir notes: "and when the mountains are set moving."
The 14th ayah of Surat al-Muzzammil in Holy Quran states: "the day when the earth and the mountains will quake, and the mountains will be like dunes of shifting sand."
Furthermore, the 5th and 6th ayahs of Surat al-Waqi'ah note: "And the mountains are shattered into bits and become scattered like dust."
In short, the Day of Resurrection is coupled with a major revolution in the entire universe.
After the end of this world, a new world is established, and mankind is revived, stepping into a new world which is completely different to this world.
