Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has paid tribute to martyred commanders of the anti-terrorism fight in Iraq after he arrived in the country’s capital and before his scheduled meeting with the Iraqi officials.

Upon his arrival in Baghdad International Airport, Zarif first visited the site of the martyrdom where the convoy carrying Lt. Gen. Soleimani, the Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps’ Quds  Force, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the Deputy Commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units, and their companions was targeted by the terrorist US forces on January 3.
