Leader: UAE betrayed Muslim world, but it won’t last long
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the United Arab Emirates has betrayed the entire Muslim world by normalizing ties with the Israeli regime, but that the betrayal will not last long.
The UAE betrayed the world of Islam, the Arab nations, the region’s countries, and the important Palestine cause, Ayatollah Khamenei said in a meeting with directors at the Education Ministry via video conference on Tuesday.
“Of course, this situation will not last long, and the stain of shame will remain on the face of those who forgot the occupation of this country (Palestine) and the displacement of the Palestinian nation and allowed the Zionists into the region.”
The Leader was referring to the agreement recently brokered by the US to establish full diplomatic relations between the UAE and Zionist entity.
Ayatollah Khamenei further expressed regret over Abu Dhabi’s collaboration with Israel and the wicked elements at the helm of the US administration in their brutal actions against the interests of the region and the entire Islamic world.
The Leader advised the UAE to wake up as soon as possible and compensate for what it has done.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the Westerners’ efforts to infiltrate other countries’ educational systems by imposing the Western lifestyle on them. He cited the 2030 Agenda as an example and added, “Today, the Western social philosophy has proven to be a failure, even in the West itself, and its elements of corruption are quite visible from Hollywood to the Pentagon.”
Stressing the necessity to be sensitive to the enemy’s infiltrations, the Leader said, “The enemy seeks to achieve what it is unable to do in military ways through infiltration and using tools such as the 2030 Agenda. It aims to build human beings that can carry out its operations and plans so that the ground will be prepared for them to plunder nations.”
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution also thanked the nation for observing the health protocols during the ten days of mourning ceremonies for Moharram. He described this year’s mourning ceremonies to be a phenomenon that will stay eternally in the history of the country.
