IRGC's second-in-command warns US against any adventurism
The second-in-command of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said the US has failed and will once again face failure in its attempt to form an anti-Iran alliance, warning Washington against any act of folly against Tehran.
"If Americans commit a new act of folly, they will receive a heavy blow far beyond their imagination," Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi told Lebanon's al-Mayadeen television network on Wednesday, Press TV reported.
He added that US efforts to build an alliance against Iran's Islamic Revolution were old endeavors, and will prove to be of no avail.
He warned the Americans that they will be within the reach of Iranian forces if they seek to keep their military presence in the Persian Gulf region.
In his remarks, the senior IRGC commander also said that the US "will not succeed in achieving its goals of imposing an arms embargo on Iran."
Iran has warned against attempts by the United States to form such a coalition against the Islamic Republic, saying such measures are destined to fail.
