Iran COVID-19 update: 321 deaths, 25,078 new cases in 24 hours
The daily death toll from the coronavirus pandemic in Iran reached 321, as Health officials report more than 25,078 new cases of coronavirus in last 24 hours.
According to reports, Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari said on Thursday that the total number of deaths from the virus had reached 65,680.
She went on to say that 3,373 of the new patients have been hospitalized, adding that some 4,601 other COVID-19 patients are in critical condition and are being treated in intensive care units.
According to Lari, 1,749,041 patients have so far recovered or been discharged from hospitals out of a total of 2,168,872 infected people.
COVID-19 has infected more than 138 million people worldwide, with more than 2.9 million people dying as a result of the virus.
