Iran COVID-19 update: 328 deaths, 25,261 new cases in 24 hours
The daily death toll from the coronavirus pandemic in Iran reached 328, as Health officials report more than 25,261 new cases of coronavirus in last 24 hours.
According to reports, Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari said on Friday that the total number of deaths from the virus had reached 66,008.
She went on to say that 3,207 of the new patients have been hospitalized, adding that some 4,652 other COVID-19 patients are in critical condition and are being treated in intensive care units.
According to Lari, 1,761,497 patients have so far recovered or been discharged from hospitals out of a total of 2,194,133 infected people.
COVID-19 has infected more than 139 million people worldwide, with more than 3 million people dying as a result of the virus.
