  • Tehran invites regional countries to seek collective security amid Israel’s failed war on Gaza

Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani said the Islamic Republic is ready to cooperate with regional countries to establish collective security amid the Israeli regime’s failed war on the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

“The chain defeats of the US in Afghanistan & #Zionists against #ResistanceAxis are a sign of failure for their polices,” he wrote in a tweet on Sunday.

“We're ready to participate with the countries of region in a mechanism to create collective security as an infrastructure for development & welfare of their nations,” he added.

Iranian officials have strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s aerial bombardment of the Gaza Strip, which began on Monday. So far, at least 188 Palestinians, including 55 children and 33 women, have been killed.

Tehran has also called for unity among Muslim and freedom-seeking governments and nations of the world to confront Israel, emboldened by the US and some other countries that have supported its attacks as a “right to self-defense.”

On Sunday, civil defense forces continued to carry out search and rescue operations in Gaza, looking for civilians under the rubble of their homes that were hit in pre-dawn attacks.

Last month, tensions initially build up in al-Quds, where Israeli regime forces and settlers attacked Palestinian worshipers at al-Aqsa Mosque, and Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, where the regime has forced Palestinians out of their homes to build new settlements.
