  • Iran eyes growing ties with Mauritania

Iran's President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi expressed hope for the expansion of relations with Mauritania in various fields.

According to Tasnim news agency, in a Sunday message to his Mauritanian counterpart Mohamed Ould Ghazouani,  President Raeisi congratulated the West African country’s people and government on its National Day.

The Iranian president also expressed hope that the cooperation between Tehran and Nouakchott and their relations would be enhanced in all fields in light of the efforts of their officials and the great capabilities of the two nations.

President Raeisi, who took office in August, has highlighted the significance that his administration attaches to the enhancement of ties with the African nations.
