Iran sympathizes with Azerbaijan over copter crash
The Iranian Foreign Ministry’s spokesman sympathized with the Republic of Azerbaijan over the fatal crash of a military helicopter.
According to Tasnim news agency, in a statement on Tuesday, Saeed Khatibzadeh offered his condolences to the government and people of Azerbaijan over the crash and expressed sympathy with the families of the victims.
Fourteen people have been killed after a military helicopter crashed during a training flight in Azerbaijan on Tuesday.
The country's border service and prosecutor general said in a joint statement that "a military helicopter belonging to Azerbaijan's state border service crashed today at Garakheybat Airfield in the Khyzy region at approximately 10:40 a.m. local time (GMT 06:40) while conducting a training flight."
They said an investigation was underway into the accident's causes.
