Hezbollah Chief’s ultimatum: U.S. soldiers will return home in body bags
The Secretary-General of Lebanon’s legendry anti-terrorist movement, Hezbollah, has strongly condemned the unmanly murders of Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps' Quds Force, and Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units' deputy commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhanddis, saying retaliation was coming and U.S. soldiers would now return home in body bags.
Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah in a live telecast of his speech on Sunday evening from the Lebanese capital Beirut, said: “When the coffins of American soldiers and officers begin to be transported to the United States, (President Donald) Trump and his administration will realize that they have really lost the region and will lose the elections.”
He said vengeance for the sacred blood of General Soleimani was not only the responsibility of the Islamic Republic of Iran, but also of the entire Axis of Resistance.
The Hezbollah Chief said attacks on U.S. military forces in the West Asia region will be “a fair punishment” for Trump’s unpardonable crime, and the targets will be U.S. bases, naval ships and military personnel.
He noted that U.S. act of state terrorism marks the start of a new phase for the entire region.
He added: “The targeted killing of General Soleimani and General Muhanddis is the beginning of a new era not just for Iraq and Iran, but for the whole region.”
Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah praised the two top military commanders for attaining the lofty goal of martyrdom, and extending his deepest condolences to the bereaved families.
He further said: “The martyrdom of General Soleimani and General Muhanddis – along with their colleagues – marks another victory of blood over sword.”
The Hezbollah Chief took note: “We are witness to a heinous crime whose perpetrators are well-known. Trump has admitted that he himself had ordered the (drone) strike (on the Baghdad International Airport).”
He pointed out that the U.S. plots in Syria have been foiled; Trump has abandoned the Kurds; and his decision concerning withdrawal of the American occupation troops represents his confusion.
Seyyed Nasrallah noted that all American attempts to undermine the resistance front in Lebanon and Yemen have been unsuccessful as well.
He referred to Trump’s abortive bid to impose the "conspiracy of the century" on the oppressed Palestinian people, whose steadfastness foiled the American plot.
The Hezbollah Secretary General said: “Trump wanted to tighten control on Iraq’s oil, and had been using the Daesh (terror group) as a pretext to control Iraq and its wealth; but this intricate plot failed, thanks to the coordinate campaign against Daesh by General Soleimani and Muhanddis.”
He said the U.S., feeling it was about to lose control of Iraq following defeat of the Daesh terrorists, coupled with the successful holding of parliamentary polls by the Iraqi people, schemed to drag Iraq into a civil war by trying to sow the seeds of discord between Baghdad and Tehran, and that is why it chose to target a central figure in the Axis of Resistance, and thus cowardly martyred General Soleimani.
He said the Zionist officials were scared to death at the very mention of the name of Iran’s top general, but dare not target him.
According to Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah: The retaliation for General Soleimani’s blood has already started in both Iran and Iraq. Iraqis want withdrawal of all U.S. troops from their soil. This is only a minimal retaliation – with greater vengeance to follow.
He concluded: “Assassination of Soleimani means targeting the entire Axis of Resistance. In terms of retaliation, there is no figure in the opposite of the caliber of General Soleimani or Abu Mahdi Muhandis, which means Soleimani's shoe is more valuable than Trump's head.”
