Afghanistan says its key bodies not dependent on US aids
Afghan President Asharf Ghani says his government’s key bodies will not be affected by the United States latest move. This comes after Washington announced a billion-dollar cut in aid to Kabul.
According to Press TV, President Ghani’s rejection on compromise to form a joint government with his rival Abdullah Abdullah is viewed to be unfruitful. Some experts believe that Ghani would not be able to find a substitute for Washington to receive billions of dollars in aid and run the country’s affairs.
The United States is accusing Afghan rival leaders of behaving against the national interests of both Washington and Kabul by refusing an agreement on forming a united government.
This comes while both Afghan rival leaders have always emphasized that their policy follows the national interests of the country. The two say that Afghanistan’s national interests are the main cause behind their disagreement on forming a government.
