Welcome to this week's episode of the series "In the Path of the Imam". In this episode, we continue to elaborate on the personal and social conduct of the Founder of Islamic Republic of Iran, late Imam Khomeini (God's mercy upon him).
We partly introduced the different aspects of the elevated characteristic traits of the Founder of Islamic Republic of Iran, late Imam, in the previous weeks. We also spoke of the importance and significance of time and punctuality in the view of the Father of Islamic Revolution, reminding that late Imam was well-known as an organized and punctual individual, who maintained a highly appropriate timetable and schedule for all of his tasks.
One of the distinguished traits of the Father of Islamic Revolution was his utmost efforts to make the best of opportunities for learning and acquirement of knowledge. He made the best of any raised opportunity to learn, educate and guide people toward the righteous path. Late Imam was also highly interested in learning foreign languages in order to boost and reinforce his capacity to educate and guide others.
According to one of late Imam's associates, the Father of Islamic Revolution began to learn Turkish language within the initial hours of his arrival in Turkey. Late Imam intended to fulfill his duty and prophecy among Turkish speakers, upon learning the Turkish language. Late Imam's profound interest and enthusiasm in learning the Turkish language was to an extent that scared one of the SAVAK officials, who was monitoring and spying on late Imam. This infamous SAVAK official feared that late Imam was making utmost efforts to learn Turkish language in order to guide and educate Turkish people toward the righteous path, and to continue his campaign against the former Iranian dictatorial regime. Thus, this notorious SAVAK official, in his report to his senior officials, wrote that late Imam should not be left alone. Hence, late Imam was moved to new locations in Turkey in very short intervals in a futile bid to somehow obstruct and impede late Imam from his righteous campaign and struggles against the notorious Pahlavi regime.
Late Imam was highly sensitive and opposed to wastage of time. According to one's of late Imam's associates; at times, throughout general meetings which were scheduled for late Imam; he was forced to wait a while due to the delay in the arrival of some of the attendants. Under these circumstances, late Imam complained due to this lack of organization.
Late Imam was also highly strict and responsible in fulfill of his religious duties.
Late Imam's precise and accurate schedule in life, and his maximum usage of time, had enabled him to fulfill all of his tasks and obligations in the best possible manner. Throughout late Imam's years of rule as the Founder of Islamic Republic of Iran, his years of study, and his years of political campaign against the former Pahlavi dictatorial regime, late Imam fulfilled all of his religious, social, educational, and political duties in an excellent manner. Late Imam's associates always pointed out that he never wasted his time.
Late Imam strongly believed that the established of the sacred Islamic system has raised a golden opportunity for serving people, encouraging the officials of the sacred Islamic establishment to make the best of this raised unique opportunity to wholeheartedly serve the Iranian nation.
One of the other manifestations of maximum usage of raised opportunities in the elevated life of the Father of Islamic Revolution, was his utmost usage of time for learning and acquiring further knowledge. According to late Imam's associates, he had studied the majority of the important books and famous novels around the world.
According to late Imam's son, Haaj Ahmad Aqa; late Imam studied several books throughout the summer holidays, within which late Imam and his family traveled to one of the cities, and/or Tehran. Late Imam had studied the majority of writings and works of the acclaimed authors around the world. Late Imam had also studied Iran's history, including the history of the Constitutional Revolution in a highly comprehensive manner.
The best usage of time was so ingrained in late Imam's characteristic traits that he did not waste his time even when he was ill.
